Volunteers are an essential component at SVAS. Without them, many of our programs would not exist. There are many avenues in which you can get involved – driving for field trips/activities, listening to students read, assisting teachers in the classroom, getting involved with holiday parties, Home and School, etc. The teachers at SVAS are always happy to have parent volunteers! Please talk to your child’s teacher to find out how you can get involved!
All volunteers and staff are required to complete “Sterling Volunteers” training to better protect our students. Names must also be cleared by our employer, Upper Columbia Conference, prior to approval. All volunteers must read and agree to abide by the SDA NAD Code of Conduct and Volunteer Guidelines, which serves as a protection to our school and church from allegations of abuse.
